Absorption
Oral NMN capsules are the most studied form and effectively raise blood NAD+ levels. Evidence from trials used doses taken once daily in the morning, typically with or after breakfast. Store NMN in a cool, dry place as the molecule can degrade with heat and moisture.
Daily Dose
Common dose: 250-900 mg/day
RDA: No established RDA
Upper limit: Up to 1200 mg/day used in trials without safety concerns
Best form: Oral capsules (most studied in human RCTs)
Timing: Once daily in the morning, with or after food
Clinical efficacy was highest at 600 mg/day in one multicenter RCT. Doses of 250 mg/day were sufficient to raise NAD+ levels.
