Absorption
Take with or just before meals for digestive benefits. Divided doses (e.g., 250 mg four times daily) appear more effective for nausea than a single large dose.
Daily Dose
Common dose: 1-1.5 g/day of dried ginger or equivalent extract

Upper limit: 4 g/day of dried ginger
Best form: Standardized extract (containing gingerols) or dried ginger powder
Timing: Divided into 2-4 doses with meals; for nausea, take 30-60 min before trigger
For pregnancy nausea, 1 g/day in divided doses for at least 4 days is best studied.
